To tie your shoe, loop the lace over and under your big toe and then cross the ends of the laces over each other once. Pull both ends until they are tight and make a half knot around your other toes. That's it, you're done.

It is important to make sure the lace doesn't slip and that the half knot is tied securely. Try them on to make sure there are no holes in your shoes for laces to poke out of (as this would mean your laces are too loose).

If you are using shoelaces from an old pair of trainers, check that they don't have any rough bits which could damage the lining of your shoes. For example, double knots are never a good idea as they can cut through the footbed and snag on other things causing damage.

People also sTying a shoe lace is really easy and there are many different types of knots that can be used. The most common is called the "bunny ears" knot.

All you need to do for this knot, which looks like bunny ears, is cross the ends of your shoelace together then wrap them around each other twice before pulling them tight with your fingers.

The next simplest type of shoelace knot is the Figure Eight Knot, or what some people might call an "eight". This type of knot involves crossing one end over the other (making an X) then wrapping them around each other until they both meet at the center in a figure eight pattern.

The simplest shoelace knot that I am aware of is called the Reef Knot. This knot can be very difficult to tie by hand but is much easier with a machine. The reef knot involves making two loops in your shoelace that are opposite each other, then pulling them till they meet at the center. After you have pulled this tight, you can continue to pull the loops so they wrap around each other (so you get a figure eight pattern). Then after you have finished pulling this tight, pull both ends and weave them through the loops to make sure they stay wrapped.

After you have made a few simple knots, it is time to try out some more difficult ones. One of the most used shoelace knots is called the "Bow Knot". This knot looks like a bow and involves making an X with each end of your shoelace (just like in the Figure Eight Knot). Then you take one end and put it under the other end then wrap that end around itself several times and pull tight. You then take this tangled length of shoelace and thread it through itself, just as if you were weaving a key ring through a belt loop.

The next knot I want to tell you about is called the Clove Hitch Knot. This knot looks like a clove. For this knot, you actually tie two half hitches around the two ends of your shoelace.

There is another very simple shoelace knot that consists of tying an overhand knot to each end of your shoelace, just like you do with shoe laces when tying them. This is called the "Barrel Knot". The best way to tie this type of knot is by holding the loose side of one end in one hand, and twisting it over a finger (so the loose side and the center are together), then place that loose side under your palm and bring the working end up through it (as if you were tying a double fisherman's knot). Repeat this for the other end.

When you are doing either of the above knots, make sure that you pull them tight with your fingers and set each knot tightly by "snapping" it against a solid object (like a table).

If you look at my examples of the half hitch and clove hitch knots, you will see that they are very similar. The difference between them is how many times the end of your shoelace is wrapped around itself.

In a half hitch knot, the ends are wrapped around each other twice before they are pulled tight (to make figure eights), while in a clove hitch knot they are wrapped three times before pulling tight.earch for : How to lace a shoe with two holes, how to lace my shoe in the morning, how to tie a slip knot with shoelaces, how to put shoes on, how long does it take for kids to put on their own shoes. learn how to tie shoelaces, learning show laces.
